Baldur's Gate 3 is a CRPG designed by Larian Studios (best known for Divinity: Original Sin 2) and employs an adapted version of the Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition rule set.

Given the popularity the original 2 Baldur's Gate games have, and how talented and capable Larian Studios are (especially after their Divinity Original Sin II game), people were extremely excited for this game, and with good reasons. After being in Early Access for over a year, and taking in player feedback in every step of the way, the retail version of the game is simply incredible.
